Course Description

The International Law regulates several aspects of social behavior. It is not limited, as in the past, in the inter-state relations and pervades major segments of internal law. 
Dealing with international law involves not only governments, international organizations, international institutions and international institutions of the state as well as simple citizens, as well as those whose intention is the creation of an international civil society. The course includes the following sections: Definition and theory of international law. The subjects of international law. Relations between international and domestic law. Sources of international law: Custom, general regime - functionality. International treaties. Conclusion of international treaties, reservations to international treaties, effects of international treaties between contracting parties and with respect to third parties. Interpretation of treaties, revision, termination or suspension of force, unforeseen change of treaties, invalidity. The general principles of law. The subsidiary sources. State and territory. Territorial sovereignty. Methods of acquiring territory. Limitations of territorial integrity. The Sea and the evolution of legal regulations Federations of states - federated states. The state in the international community - recognition, succession of states. International responsibility, diplomatic protection. Peaceful resolution of disputes.
